In depth

How the service works

Automatic verification of every backup

Backups are boot-verified automatically: the image is started in an isolated environment, a screenshot and service check confirm it came up, and the result is recorded. Failure is a ticket the same day, not a discovery during a crisis.

Scheduled full recovery exercises

Beyond automated checks, we run a scheduled full exercise: restore a representative server and dataset, time it, validate application function and data currency, and record any manual step that slowed things down.

A written result you can hand to an auditor

Each test produces a report with scope, measured RTO and RPO against target, evidence, issues found and the remediation we completed — exactly what insurers, Cyber Essentials assessors and enterprise clients ask to see.

FAQs

Common questions

How often are recovery tests run?

Automated verification runs continuously; full documented exercises are typically quarterly or annually depending on your plan.

Will testing disrupt our systems?

No. Tests run in isolated environments from the backup copies.

What if a test fails?

We remediate the cause, retest and record both results — a failed test that gets fixed is the whole point.
